Whatever the reason is, the consumption of vegetarian meals is vitally important! Not only because it is the 15th day of the Lunar Month already, but sometimes you need to avoid eating greasy meat and take better care of your health.
Throughout the years and generations, a lot of skepticism regarding vegetarian cuisine consumption has been greatly reduced; it is no longer a big deal for people not to have meats on the table. The ideas of eating vegetarian food to sustain the ecological balance have been communicated well by influencers worldwide, and the health benefits from eating vegetarian foods have also been proven effective by many people around the world.
Eating Vegetarian Meal no longer seems a tradition, but as a lifestyle instead, with the increasing numbers of health-centric people in Malaysia and around the world.
But there is still one question being asked quite a lot of time by the vegetarian food lovers in Malaysia: "Which restaurant serves the best tasty vegetarian food?". As a person who is not fond of eating Vegetarian food, I am also curious about how someone can elevate vegetarian cuisine taste to a mouth-watering extent. To answer that, my friend "Him", the content creator of The Food Journal, brought me to his favourite vegetarian restaurant, the 诵善斋 <Song Shan Zhai>.
Noontime: Charity Based Vegetarian Restaurant
This restaurant is small, and it is located in Seri Kembangan. During noontime, Song Shan Zhai has a mini buffet style for their ready served selected foods; we have to choose the cooking of our liking.
With a perfect blend of spices, the vegetarian meals served by Song Shan Zhai is very mouth-watering just from smelling them. Even though it looks like a typical plate of mixed rice, they tasted better than the regular vegetarian meals you have found elsewhere.
When it comes to payment, it surprised me even more! I asked for a bill, and my friend told me in Wakanda style "We don't do that here".
During lunch hours, Song Shan Zhai is operating on the "Take what you want and pay what you wish" system. The portion of these amounts will go to low-income families in society for their well-being. Song Shan Zhai also wanted their customers to go green; if they're going to order a take-away, they will need to bring their food container or bento box.
It is rare to find such an irregular restaurant that serves good food, good intentions, and good experiences. I finished my lunch with a full belly, peace of mind, and a good feeling.
A heartwarming dinner time
During dinner time, Song Shan Zhai is operating under a table service style, and you can order the foods from the provided menu. There are many selections of food that you can choose from, and we guarantee you that they will taste amazing.
Their fried rice and brinjal with sambal belacan is undoubtedly our favourite, and we can't just get enough of it. There are also many other menu options that we can't wait to try.
[CNY SPECIAL] 8-course meal for family & friends
