Innovative Seaweed Popiah
We have tried their contemporary seaweed popiah, and they are very delicious, crispy, and addictive.
It comes in many different flavours such as original salted flavour, Cheese, Szechuan Pepper and Tomyam.
Whenever we tried seaweed popiah or fried seaweed, it tends to be too oily. Most of the time, the batter used overpowered the seaweed flavour and left a sticky feeling in your mouth.
But this is not the case for Budlab seaweed popiah; they are seasoned perfectly and not oily. When you open the packaging, you will still be able to smell an explosive fragrance of seaweed.
Their savoury dried shrimps
In the market, dried shrimps are usually sold in open spaces, and they are not so fresh most of the time. But you can get these freshly homemade dried shrimps from Budlab at RM28/350g. One important thing to note is that these high quality dried shrimps are with the Grade of AA and originated from Sabah, so they are quite fatty (which is good). After a purchase, try biting or chew one of their dried shimps and you will know how good and how fresh it is.
You can use it for soup, congee, or everyday stir-fry food. It can also be the base ingredients for your sambal Belacan. Budlab dried shrimps will surely impart tasty umami which is suitable for most Asian cuisines.
